<h3>About the Position</h3>
<p>Our client is seeking three part-time CDL Class A Drivers to support a local mail transportation operation in Shreveport, Louisiana. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers consistent, home-daily routes and welcomes travel drivers while permanent positions are being filled.</p>

<h3>Pay &amp; Schedule</h3>
<ul>
  <li><strong>Pay:</strong> $27.89 per hour</li>
  <li><strong>Health and Welfare:</strong> Additional $5.55 per hour for the first 40 hours worked each week</li>
  <li><strong>Total potential compensation:</strong> $33.44 per hour, including the health and welfare benefit</li>
  <li><strong>Employment type:</strong> Part-time, temp-to-perm</li>
  <li><strong>Schedule:</strong> Sunday through Saturday, typically five to six days per week</li>
  <li><strong>Dispatch times:</strong> Between 4:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m., depending on the route</li>

  <li><strong>Handling:</strong> Light-touch freight, including rolling mail carts on and off trailers</li>
  <li><strong>Work setting:</strong> On-site</li>

<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
  <li>Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer between facilities.</li>
  <li>Complete scheduled, time-sensitive delivery routes.</li>
  <li>Roll mail carts and containers on and off trailers.</li>
  <li>Secure mail carts using straps and other required equipment.</li>
  <li>Back into loading docks at postal facilities.</li>
  <li>Operate liftgates when required.</li>
  <li>Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate delivery records.</li>
  <li>Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.</li>
  <li>Follow all applicable DOT safety procedures.</li>
</ul>

<h3>Minimum Requirements</h3>
<ul>
  <li>Valid Class A CDL.</li>
  <li>6+ months of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.</li>
  <li>Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.</li>
  <li>Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.</li>
  <li>Ability to perform light-touch freight duties, including moving rolling mail carts.</li>
  <li>Comfort with multi-stop routes and backing into loading docks.</li>
  <li>Strong attention to detail and reliability for time-sensitive deliveries.</li>
</ul>
