TransForce is seeking a CDL A Truck Driver to support local operations based in Dalton, GA. This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team.
CDL A Truck Driver Details
- Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7am, No Holidays, Occasional Saturday
- Pay: $25/hr
- Route Type: Local, delivering to AL, GA, TN, NC, or SC.
- Freight / Load Type: Packaging Materials
- Equipment: Tractor Trailer, Dry Van, Forklift (Automatic & Manual)
- Handling: Light Touch, customer unloads, occasional Pallet offload.
CDL A Truck Driver Minimum Requirements:
- License: CDL A
- Experience: 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- Equipment Experience: Forklift experience preferred, but will train
- Must be able to drive a manual transmission
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
CDL A Truck Driver Responsibilities:
- Safely operate equipment on local routes
- Transport packaging materials in accordance with DOT and company safety standards
- Perform required handling tasks, including occasionally offloading with a pallet jack
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations
- Meet the physical demands of the role
