TransForce is seeking a CDL A Driver to support local operations based in Hyattsville, MD. This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team.
CDL A Driver Details
- Schedule: 5-day schedule incl w/ends, 1am - 4am start time, 2 consecutive days off in the week
- Pay: $30/hr
- Route Type: Local
- Freight / Load Type: Delivering cases of milk to customers in the DMV area.
- Handling: Unloading pallets with an electric jack and pallet breakdowns at certain stops.
CDL A Driver Minimum Requirements:
- License: CDL A
- Experience: 1+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in last 3 years)
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
CDL A Driver Responsibilities:
- Safely operate equipment on local routes
- Transport freight in accordance with DOT and company safety standards
- Perform required handling tasks, including unloading with an electric pallet jack
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations
- Meet the physical demands of the role
