Local CDL A Driver - $28.07 Per Hour + OT | Alton, IA

TransForce is seeking a CDL A Driver to support local operations based in Alton, IA. This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team. 

CDL A Driver Details 

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, some Saturdays
• Start Time: 12:00noon, 2:00pm, or 4:00pm, 8 - 10 hours per day
• Pay: $28.07 Per hour + OT after 40
• Route Type: Local, home daily
• Equipment: Manual trucks - NO AUTO RESTRICTION
• Handling: No touch, Drop & Hook

CDL A Driver Minimum Requirements:  

• Must possess a valid Class A license
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Prior route experience within a customer oriented environment preferred.
• Experience with truck hydraulics a plus.
• Must be able to handle outside elements.

CDL A Driver Responsibilities:  

• Driver is responsible for operation of a truck to collect materials on a daily route and returning to the Alton facility.
• Must be able to handle outside elements, summer heat and winter cold.
• Collects and inspects raw material at time of pick up for any foreign or hazardous material at customer location.
• Transport freight in accordance with DOT and company safety standards 
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections 
• Maintain accurate logs and paperwork 
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations, and customers.
• Frequently required to sit for extended periods.
• Ability to work weekends and/or Overtime as need.
