CDL A Driver - Light Touch - $27 - $30 Per Hour

TransForce is seeking a CDL A driver to support local operations based in Grand Rapids, MI.

This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team. 

CDL A Details: 

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm maybe longer depending on delivery routes

• Pay:  $27 - $30 Per hour

• Route Type: Local

• Freight / Load Type: Electrical, gas and fiber optic utility material

• Equipment: Semi Tractor/Trailer, 53' Step Deck and Dry Van

• Handling: Touch freight, may require lifting and pulling of heavy objects 75+ pounds

CDL A Minimum Requirements:  

• License: CDL A

• Experience: 1+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience 

• Endorsements: None

• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in last 3 years) 

• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements 

CDL A Responsibilities:  

• Safely operate CDL A equipment on local routes 

• Transport CDL A equipment in accordance with DOT and company safety standards 

• Perform required handling tasks including ability to lifting and pulling of heavy objects 75+ pounds

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections 

• Maintain accurate logs and paperwork 

• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations 

• Meet the physical demands of the role, including [lifting, climbing, strapping, tarping, etc., if applicable]
