Competitive Pay:
 
 
Average earning $1,850 per week ($94,350 per year) 
 
Starting pay: $37 per hour
 
Average 50 hours per week
 
 
 
Work Schedule:
 
 
Home daily
 
Monday to Friday; between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. (start and end time will vary)
 
Occasional weekends required
 
Deliver loads in the morning and make pickups in the afternoon 
 
 
 
Local Deliveries & Pickups:
 
 
Deliver freight within a 100-mile radius around Atlanta
 
Average 500 miles per week
 
 
 
Types of Freight:
 
 
Mostly P&D (pickup and delivery)
 
Some touch freight (20-30%)
 
Loading and unloading are required
 
Occasional inside deliveries required using pallet jack
 
 
 
Equipment & Special Requirements: 
 
 
Drive a daycab truck or straight truck
 
Liftgate provided; driver required to operate 
 
Must be willing to get TSA and STA certifications for airport deliveries (will reimburse)
 
Must apply Hazmat endorsement within 30 days of hire and must obtain Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire - will be reimbursed upon receipt

Job Requirements
 
Must live within a 75-mile radius
 
Must have 1-year verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
 
Must be 21 years of age or older
 
Drivers must have Class A CDL
 
Must be willing to get TSA and STA certifications for airport deliveries (will reimburse)
 
Must apply Hazmat endorsement within 30 days of hire and must obtain Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire - will be reimbursed upon receipt
 
No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years
 
No convictions for DUI within the past 5 years
 
No suspensions or revocations within the last 5 years
 
No serious violations within the previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with fatality)
 
No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years
 
No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years
 
 
 Essential functions: 
 
Load freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs
 
Unload freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs
 
Move freight - force requirement: 54 lbs
 
Open/Close Trailer Doors - force requirement: 46 lbs
 
Count freight
 
Complete fuel tickets
 
Obtain sales leads
 
Hook/Unhook trailer - force requirement: 90 lbs (Class A Only)
 
Perform pre-trip inspections
 
Drive
 
Regular predictable attendance
 
Enter/Exit a Commercial Motor Vehicle
