**Flatbed Forklift Operator**
Ewing Outdoor Supply is seeking a dedicated CDL Class A to join our team. In this role, you will primarily make deliveries to customers and transport materials between our locations. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring our customers receive their materials on time while keeping safety and efficiency at the forefront of your work.
As a CDL Driver and Yard Associate, your interaction with customers will be crucial in providing them with the best experience possible. You'll be expected to exhibit exceptional customer service skills along with the ability to operate various equipment and vehicles."
Responsibilities
Transport materials to and from retail or distribution centers.
Help out in the store between deliveries
Customer job site and warehouse delivery
Assist in yard operations, including loading, unloading, and moving product
Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Comply with CDL rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with customers and team members to fulfill orders and resolve issues
Report defects, accidents, or violations
Requirements
Proven work experience as a CDL Driver
Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc)
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
No recent moving or driving violations
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc)
Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
Valid CDL license
Ability to operate forklifts and other yard equipment
Strong customer service skills
Experience with flat beds and dump trucks
At least a CDL A is required
Moffett & forklift experience is a plus
