We're looking for a dependable 
Part-Time Class A CDL Driver
 to support local heavy equipment transfers between our nearby yards. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for steady, weekday hours with no long hauls-
Morning, 5 hour shift Monday through Friday!.
Hourly range $25-30/hr based on experience, Paid weekly
 
Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Transport heavy equipment using tractor trailer to other yards within 5-10 mile radius
Load, unload, and secure freight to prevent damage during transit.
Operate company vehicles and adhere to DOT safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies
Perform comprehensive pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, 
Drive and operate equipment including backing up, tilting or raising or lowering attachments or other machine movements to facilitate transport
Work outside in all reasonable weather conditions
Read and interpret paperwork associated with the shipping/receiving function including but not limited to; bills of lading, shipping orders, manifests, tally sheets or export documentation.
Communicate with customers.
 
Job Requirements
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
One year of commercial 
Class A
 tractor-trailer driving experience
Current valid CDL A with good driving record 
Ability to operate various types of heavy equipment
Ability to read and interpret paperwork associated with shipping/receiving function
Ability to carry and lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to complete a full workday walking and/or standing in all reasonable weather conditions
