Franklin Building Supply is a lumber and building material company that has been in business for more than 45 years. We have locations spread across Idaho and one in Nevada.
We supply just about everything besides plumbing and electrical to build homes. Our focus is on serving professional home builders. Along with providing materials, we install a wide range of products including framing, overhead doors, insulation, gutters, siding, and more. We also manufacture some products including trusses, cabinets, doors, and granite countertops.

Primary Purpose:
As a DOT Driver at Franklin Building Supply, you're not just behind the wheel you're on the ground, hands-on, moving materials and making job sites run. This is a physically demanding, active role built for someone who takes pride in hard work, likes to stay moving, and wants to be home at the end of every day. As an employee-owner, the work you do directly contributes to a company you have a stake in.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Driving:
 Operate DOT-regulated Class A or B trucks to safely transport building materials to job sites
Physical Labor:
 Load and unload building materials by hand, this role is physically demanding and requires strength, stamina, and a strong work ethic every day
Forklift Operation:
 Use a forklift to handle and stage materials efficiently at the yard and on site
Material Placement:
 Place and arrange materials at job sites according to framer and contractor preferences
Customer Interaction:
 Represent Franklin Building Supply professionally with customers and subcontractors on every stop
Product Returns:
 Process material returns accurately and efficiently
Team Support:
 Work alongside your crew and foreman to keep deliveries moving and job sites stocked
Product Knowledge:
 Stay current on building materials and products to better serve customers and contractors

CDL License:
 Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving record
Medical Card:
 Current DOT Medical Card required
Physical Fitness:
 Must be able to perform consistent, heavy physical labor throughout the shift: lifting, loading, and unloading building materials by hand
Weather Ready:
 Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Tech Comfort:
 Able to operate a tablet and work with minimal supervision
Employment Eligibility:
 Franklin Building Supply participates in E-Verify. All new hires must be legally authorized to work in the United States and will be verified through the federal E-Verify system
Strongly Preferred:
Previous commercial driving and forklift experience
Background in construction, framing, or home building
