TransForce is seeking CDL-A Short-Haul Drivers to support regional transportation operations throughout South Central Pennsylvania and surrounding states. 
 

<h3>CDL-A Short-Haul Driver Details:</h3>

<ul>
	<li>
	Reporting Area: York, Carlisle, and/or Mechanicsburg, PA
	
	<li>
	Pay: $30 per hour
	
	<li>
	Overtime: Not offered
	
	<li>
	Schedule: Five days per week; weekend availability is preferred
	
	<li>
	Preferred Schedules: Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday
	
	<li>
	Start Time: Between 12:00 AM and 4:00 AM
	
	<li>
	Shift Length: Approximately 12–14 hours within DOT-regulated hours of service
	
	<li>
	Drivers Needed: Up to 5
	
	<li>
	Route Type: Short haul within approximately 200 miles of York, PA
	
	<li>
	Deliveries: Approximately 2–3 deliveries per day, depending on appointment times
	
	<li>
	Freight: Food and beverage products, corrugated materials, and retail goods; no livestock
	
	<li>
	Equipment: 53-foot dry van
	
	<li>
	Handling: 100% no-touch freight with drop-and-hook assignments

	Additional Duties: Chocking trailers and sweeping trailers when needed

<h3>CDL-A Driver Minimum Requirements:</h3>

	Valid CDL-A
	
	<li>
	At least 2 years of recent, relevant, and verifiable commercial driving experience

	Clean Motor Vehicle Record

	Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
	
	<li>
	Ability to work weekends when required

<h3>CDL-A Driver Responsibilities:</h3>

	Safely operate a CDL-A tractor-trailer on short-haul routes
	
	<li>
	Deliver freight throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding service areas
	
	<li>
	Complete approximately 2–3 deliveries per day
	
	<li>
	Pick up return loads when assigned
	
	<li>
	Chock and properly secure trailers
	
	<li>
	Sweep trailers as needed
	
	<li>
	Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
	
	<li>
	Maintain accurate paperwork and communicate effectively with dispatch
