Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are looking for a Class A CDL truck driver to join our team in St. Louis, MO.

The tanker driver is responsible for operating a tanker trailer to transport goods and assist with loading, unloading, and processing shipping documentation. Additional duties include inspecting vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and performing preventative maintenance on the vehicle and trailer. The driver is responsible for planning routes to meet delivery schedules. The typical schedule will have you operating Monday through Friday with 2 overnights, averaging 35-45 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer in the transportation of freight in accordance with Company, Federal, State and Local laws with regard to run times and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe working conditions of the tractor and trailer prior to each trip and at the end of each trip.
• Check gauges and visual indicators for malfunctions, ensure locks on trailers are working properly, and conduct inspection of vehicle before and during trips to determine problems that may be occurring.
• Promptly report all problems to Fleet Services and/or supervision.
• May be required to work the dock to include loading and unloading freight.
• Document and log miles driven, work/rest periods and retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
