We are currently hiring CDL-A drivers for a local Yard Jockey position in Lafayette, Indiana. This is a great opportunity for drivers looking for steady local work, home daily time, and consistent hourly pay with overtime available.
Pay & Bonuses
$27 per hour - all shifts
Overtime after 40 hours paid at $41 per hour
Average weekly pay: $1,080 - $1,485
Average annual pay: $56,000 - $77,000
Bonuses
$500 New Hire Transition Bonus paid on second paycheck
$3,000 Sign-On Bonus:
$1,000 on second paycheck
$1,000 at 60 days
$1,000 at 120 days
Schedule
Monday - Friday
Must be available to work every other weekend
Starting around 40 hours weekly, with potential to move into 50+ hours
Shift Availability
1st Shift: 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM (starting 5/18)
Job Details
Local yard moves only - no over-the-road driving
Moving CAT generators and engines between facilities
Average of 8 engine moves per day
Approximately 250 yards between locations
Drivers may transport up to 2 engines at a time
Load securement with straps
Yard Hostler, Kenworth Day Cab, Conestoga/Flatbed equipment

Requirements
Valid CDL-A license
Prior yard jockey experience within the past year OR 6 months of recent CDL-A driving experience
