Home Time: Weekly (34-hour reset) | Pay: $1,300 to $1,500 per week
Location: Chicago, IL 60601 | Freight: No-touch dry van (drop & hook + live unload)
CDL-A truck drivers earn $1,300 to $1,500 per week with weekly home time and consistent no-touch dry van freight.
This role is designed for CDL-A truck drivers who want consistent miles, reliable freight, and a schedule that supports weekly home time.
What to Expect as a CDL-A Driver:
Weekly Pay: $1,300 to $1,500 with additional pay including detention, stop pay, and breakdown compensation
Home Time: Weekly 34-hour reset with flexibility to extend time at home
Miles: Average 1,800 to 2,400 miles per week
Freight: No-touch dry van with a mix of drop and hook and live unload
Operating Area: Primarily east of I-35 with no Northeast routes
Equipment: Modern, well-maintained dry van trailers
Parking: Option to park at home or at a terminal
Benefits: Medical, 401k, life insurance, rider and pet policy included
This CDL-A truck driver position is built for drivers who want steady freight without constant changes in lanes or scheduling
Freight mix allows for a combination of drop and hook and live unload, helping maintain consistent movement throughout the week
Drivers can expect a structured setup that supports both newer and experienced CDL-A drivers looking for reliability
Driver Schedule & Workflow:
Drivers run consistent weekly routes with a focus on keeping miles steady and reducing downtime between loads
Dispatch works to pre-plan loads in advance to help maintain a predictable schedule
Most freight is ready to go, allowing drivers to keep moving without unnecessary delays
Routes are designed to balance miles and home time while keeping operations efficient
