Patriot Carriers is seeking a full-time Bulk Dump Trailer Driver based out of Bridgewater, NJ, servicing the Northeast region including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New York, and Connecticut.
As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting materials, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. This role operates both interstate and intrastate, requiring adherence to all DOT and company regulations.
This position offers load-based pay with typical earnings between $70,000-$90,000+ annually (top performers exceed this range), along with a comprehensive benefits package.
Primary Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer and bulk dump trailer in all weather conditions
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any issues to the dispatcher or supervisor
- Deliver materials safely, professionally, and on time, following assigned schedules and priorities
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and customers regarding deliveries or delays
- Maintain accurate driver logs (electronic and/or manual) and required documentation
- Ensure all deliveries are signed for and proof of delivery is submitted daily
- Load and unload materials safely; ensure proper load securement at all times
- Maintain company equipment, including cleanliness, fueling, and preventative maintenance awareness
- Utilize GPS, maps, and routing tools to ensure efficient navigation
- Provide courteous, professional customer service at all times
- Troubleshoot minor vehicle issues and report mechanical concerns promptly
- Follow all DOT, safety, and company policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications
- Valid CDL license and current Medical Card
- Minimum of 1 year CDL driving experience
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background and Clearinghouse checks
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, driver logs, and vehicle inspections
- Ability to operate safely in various weather and road conditions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively with dispatch and team members
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally
- Ability to lift 45 lbs repeatedly
- Ability to climb in and out of the truck bed and cab
- Ability to access engine compartments and perform inspections
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle
Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in a truck cab, with regular exposure to outdoor conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow. Yard conditions may include uneven surfaces, dust, and varying visibility.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday-Friday schedule
- Hours will vary based on delivery volume, routes, and business needs, while remaining in compliance with FMCSA Hours of Service (HOS) regulations
- Must comply with all FMCSA regulations, including legal limits on driving and on-duty hours
- Compensation is load-based; earnings are based on deliveries rather than hourly overtime pay
