Albatross Ventures is currently seeking an experienced Equipment Operator with Class A CDL.

Job Summary:

• Operates construction, excavating and loading equipment and heavy machinery including mini excavators, skid steers, winch dozers, clean up dozers and backhoes.
• Effectively completes excavation related tasks by using appropriate equipment.
• Transports tools and other construction equipment to and from construction sites.
• Inspects, fuels and performs routine vehicle maintenance prior to beginning shift.
• Consults digging plans, machine specifications, and safety procedures for specific tasks.
• Ensures work is completed to specification by observing grade stakes, material levels, hand signals, and other markers.
• Performs routine maintenance and repairs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of machinery operation and capabilities.
• Ability to read site plans related to land grades.
• Ability to complete safety awareness training.
• Mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Flexibility to operate multiple types of equipment.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred.
• CDL class A license required (Tankers Endorsement Preferred)

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of operating machinery.
• Must be able to operate machinery in all weather conditions and terrains.
• Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
• Must be able to work in different temperatures and changing weather conditions.
