Position Summary
The CDL Class B Driver is responsible for transporting scaffolding, access equipment, and related materials to and from job sites. This role combines professional driving responsibilities with hands-on loading, unloading, and material handling duties. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate Class B commercial vehicles to transport scaffolding and equipment to job sites.
Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual labor as needed.
Secure loads in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure equipment is transported safely and efficiently.
Follow delivery schedules and communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and job site personnel.
Assist with material organization and inventory as needed.
Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Valid CDL Class B license.
Clean driving record and commitment to safe driving practices.
Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing 50-100 pounds.
Experience loading and unloading construction materials or equipment preferred.
Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain certification).
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
