This position creates value by ensuring that Pac-Van's parts warehouse and distribution program is well managed and maintained for Midwest branch operations support. This value is created through the management of parts procurement, scheduling & the distribution process for mid-west and eastern region branches.

Summary of Key Responsibilities: Responsible for parts distribution, including shipping, receiving and delivery. Maintain a safe, orderly and well-organized warehouse environment. Inventory management and all administration associated with the process including effective communication with suppliers & branch personnel.

Vehicle Operation & DOT

• Hook trailer securely and safely
• Drive truck and trailer safely and lawfully
• Operate and assist in maintaining forklift
• Maintain valid class A CDL license as required by DOT
• Maintain a clean and orderly cab inside and out
• Complete Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR)
• Complete daily Exemption Log corresponding to time sheet
• Comply with the FMCSA Hours of Service ruleset assigned

Distribution of Parts & Materials

• Ship parts as directed using most efficient and cost-effective methods
• Deliver parts according to schedule
• Efficiently manage on-duty and drive time
• Navigate and travel the most efficient delivery routes
• Ensure parts are loaded safely and are adequately secured in truck/trailer
• Pull and load orders accurately

Parts & Materials management and organization

• Review incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy & reasonableness
• Maintain supply of shipping materials and equipment needed to fulfil order shipments
• Pick up parts/supplies sourced locally on an as needed basis
• Create staging/stocking areas as needed
• Maintain a well-organized stocking system for ease of access and locating
• Complete accurate and ongoing cycle counting as directed
• Participate in periodic physical inventory counts and audits

Customer Relations

• Conduct yourself in a professional & courteous manner when interacting with vendors and Pac-Van staff
• Manage customer expectations
• Ensure effective two-way communication

Safety

• Operate equipment in a safe manner
• Use all personal protective equipment properly
• Participate in Driver and Toolbox Talks

Working Conditions

• 50% driving and 50% in shop environment. Exposure to weather.

Physical Requirements

• Climb into and out of equipment
• Lift up to 80 lbs.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, traversing, communicating and hearing
• Must have visual, physical and technical ability to independently use a telephone, computer, and photocopier
