<h3>About the Position</h3>
<p>TransForce is seeking a <strong>Technician</strong> to support operations in <strong>Council Bluffs, IA</strong>. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced technicians or individuals with transferable hands-on skills looking to build a long-term career in equipment maintenance and repair.</p>
<p><strong>No trailer experience? No problem.</strong> We provide training for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and experience in related trades such as automotive repair, diesel mechanics, industrial maintenance, electrical work, welding, HVAC, construction equipment repair, and other hands-on technical fields.</p>
<p>This is a stable, direct-hire opportunity offering consistent hours, competitive pay, overtime opportunities, and room for growth.</p>
<p><strong>DIRECT HIRE | RELOCATION STIPEND AVAILABLE</strong></p>

<h3>Pay &amp; Schedule Details</h3>
<p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Monday–Friday (occasional Saturdays as needed)<br />
<strong>Start Time:</strong> 8:00 AM<br />
<strong>Shift Length:</strong> 8–11 hours depending on workload</p>
<p><strong>Pay Range:</strong></p>
<ul>
    <li>Experienced Technicians: <strong>$30–$35/hour</strong> (based on experience)</li>
    <li>Entry-Level / Trainable Candidates: <strong>$22–$23/hour</strong></li>
</ul>

<h3>Job Details</h3>
<ul>
    <li>Route Type: Local</li>
    <li>Freight: Equipment maintenance and repair</li>
    <li>Equipment: Intermodal trailers</li>
    <li>Handling: Heavy Touch</li>
</ul>

<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
    <li>Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative service on intermodal trailers</li>
    <li>Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues</li>
    <li>Repair or replace brakes, suspension systems, tires, and other trailer components</li>
    <li>Complete welding and light fabrication work as needed</li>
    <li>Ensure all equipment meets DOT safety and compliance standards</li>
    <li>Accurately document maintenance and repair work</li>
    <li>Work collaboratively with team members to maintain safe and efficient operations</li>
</ul>

<h3>Minimum Requirements</h3>
<ul>
    <li>3+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience</li>
    <li>Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)</li>
    <li>Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements</li>
    <li>High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred)</li>
    <li>Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude</li>
    <li>Ability to learn new systems and repair techniques</li>
    <li>Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics</li>
    <li>Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required)</li>
    <li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li>
    <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li>
</ul>
