About the Role
As a Solo OTR CDL-A Operator, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of Green Transportation. You'll be responsible for the safe and compliant operation of a Class A commercial vehicle, delivering freight to our valued customers, and representing our company with professionalism and pride.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely and professionally
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Follow FMCSA and DOT regulations at all times
- Plan routes and manage schedules effectively
- Communicate consistently with dispatch via email/phone
- Coordinate loading/unloading procedures with partners
- Handle freight inspections and assist with unloading as needed
- Maintain all required paperwork: BOLs, PODs, fuel receipts, trip sheets
- Respond appropriately to adverse driving conditions
- Uphold and demonstrate Green Transportation's values and policies
• Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid CDL-A License
- 2+ years of verifiable CDL-A tractor-trailer experience
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, twist, push/pull, and operate manual pallet jacks
- Willing to travel OTR and be based out of or commute to Holland, MI terminal
Preferred:
- Prior logistics or transportation industry experience
- Familiarity with FMCSA and DOT regulations
Compensation & Benefits
- $1,500 Weekly Average Guarantee
- Mileage & hourly rates based on experience
- $60 per outbound stop
- $40 per additional inbound pick/drop
- Detention pay (inbound & outbound)
- $100 extra pay for planned two-day layover trips
- Weekly schedule: Depart Sat/Sun, Deliver Mon/Tues, Return Thurs/Fri
- Guaranteed 34-hour reset each week
Work Environment & Travel
- 100% over-the-road tractor-trailer driving
- Frequent travel required across regional and long-haul routes
- Full-time, exempt position
