Job Description
This position involves attending an ABF Freight-approved driver training school. Program graduates will perform the duties of a checker/driver combined dock/P&D employee.
Requirements
Additional Requirements:
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Ability to obtain CDL-A with doubles/triples, tanker and hazardous materials endorsement.
- Safe driving record (from MVR and previous employment).
- Be able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements.

Work Hours:
- Schedule may vary depending on Service Center location.
Compensation:
- This is a hourly position paid weekly.
In accordance with the Illinois Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the starting pay for this position is $17.75 an hour during training, once training is complete it will be $0.69 a mile.
