Full Description

Local CDL A Driver - $30 per hour - 2nd shift | Lenexa, KS

TransForce is seeking a CDL A Driver to support Local operations based in Lenexa, KS. This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team. 

Local CDL A Driver Details: 
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday (occasional Saturday), 2:30 pm – 11 pm. 40-hour work week - home daily
  • Pay: $30 per hour, OT after 40 hours 
  • Route Type: Local, driver will make trips back & forth hauling food & spices from production facility 1.5 miles to warehouse 
  • Freight / Load Type: Pulling 53’ storage trailers w/swing doors & 48’ w/roll doors
  • Equipment: Automatic Transmission
  • Handling: Touch freight is required for load/unload w/forklift

Local CDL A Driver Minimum Requirements:  
  • License: CDL A
  • Experience: 1+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience 
  • Equipment Experience: 1 year tractor-trailer experience required, with strong backing skills and forklift experience required.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years) 
  • Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements 

Local CDL A Driver Responsibilities:  
  • Safely operate equipment on local routes 
  • Transport freight in accordance with DOT and company safety standards 
  • Perform the required handling tasks, including loading and unloading goods with a forklift
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections 
  • Maintain accurate logs and paperwork 
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations 
  • Meet the physical demands of the role
