Why Drive for Boyd Bros.?

Boyd Bros. drivers haul more than freight-they haul a reputation built on respect, safety, and reliability. Now under new management, Boyd is focused on what drivers want most: more home time, better planning, and expanded running lanes, including a new short haul, home daily route!

We're improving routes, opening up opportunities, and putting drivers first-so you can run smarter, get home more, and keep your career moving forward. If you're ready for a company investing in its drivers, Boyd Bros. is the place to be.

CDL-A Truck Driver - Short Haul

Be part of something new.
Boyd's first-ever home daily short haul route is here. This is your chance to get in early and secure a spot on a run designed for consistency and lifestyle balance.

Reliable weekly earnings.
Earn $1,000-$1,800 per week* depending on location, with guaranteed minimums ranging from $1,200-$1,500* when stipulations are met.

Home time that keeps life moving.
Get home daily or most days based on your location, giving you consistency without sacrificing steady miles.

Freight built for efficiency.
Run 100% no-touch flatbed freight, with most loads pre-loaded and pre-tarped so you spend less time working the load and more time rolling.

Your time always counts.
Earn detention and layover pay when delays happen-because your clock doesn't stop.

Grow your career here.
Start with one week of paid orientation in Birmingham, then spend a second week driving with a flatbed instructor. Earn $2,000* during your two-week onboarding while you build new skills.

Company Benefits + Perks

Step in and start earning immediately.
We offer a $1,500 signing bonus* and an additional $1,100 orientation completion pay*.

Coverage that protects you.
Health, dental, vision, and life insurance options to support you on and off the road.

Bonuses that reward connections.
Earn a $1,000 referral bonus for every qualified driver you bring aboard.

Plan for the future.
401(k) with company match to help you build long-term security.

Ride in comfort.
Late-model Kenworth tractors and a rider program so you don't have to run alone.

All pay + bonus amounts may vary by job type, location, experience level, and performance and are subject to change based on company discretion. Talk with a recruiter confirm specific details.

There is no deadline to apply. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Driver Requirements

Valid CDL A license

2+ years of verifiable OTR tractor-trailer experience

Must be at least 22 years of age
