Position Description

Coordinate Barton's Commercial Driver's License skills testing, following all policies and procedures set forth by the Kansas Department of Revenue and Barton Community College.

Position Responsibilities

50% - Maintain standards of performance which include the expectation that all CDL skills testing will be administered in accordance with test standards and instructions supplied by the Kansas Department of Revenue.45% - Maintain for a minimum of three (3) years, a record of each candidate for whom the Third Party Test Entity conducts a skills test, whether or not the candidate passes or fails the test.5% - Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

Expectations

1. Maintain a Class A Commercial Driver's License with an air-brake endorsement.2. Maintain a DOT physical card.

2. Maintain all necessary records and documentation for the Kansas Department of Revenue as it relates to the CDL testing site

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience: - Minimum two year truck driving experience.Education: - High School Diploma or Equivalent

Physical Requirements

The work requires minor physical exertion such as short periods of standing, walking over rough uneven surfaces, some recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities. Job may require recurring lifting of lightweight objects with infrequent bending or stooping alternating with the lighter activities. Job requires minimal agility and dexterity.Occasional exposure to objectionable conditions or variations such as those found in variable weather conditions or light industrial settings.

Wages/Other

The hourly rate for the CDL Test Examiner is $15.00.

Seeking a Commercial Driver's License Test Examiner for the CDL course. Candidates would be responsible for maintaining standards of performance which include the expectation that all CDL skills testing will be administered in accordance with test standards and instructions supplied by the Kansas Department of Revenue.
