About this Role

Crux is seeking a skilled Truck Driver with a Class A CDL and proven experience transporting equipment across North America.

Hourly: $35.00 - $50.00 DOE.

Per Diem: $50/daily, with travel accommodations arranged and covered by Crux.

What You'll Do

• Haul and transport equipment across North America. No sleeper cabs, hotels for accommodation.

• Operate a variety of diesel-powered equipment with manual transmissions.

• Tow and operate low boys, flat decks, step decks, tractors, straight trucks, pickups, and goosenecks.

• Load and unload heavy equipment.

• Ensure proper load preparation by maintaining familiarity with weights and measurements, securing loads with appropriate lashing and weight distribution, and coordinating permitting and clearance requirements prior to transport.

• Perform inspections on equipment and load prior to transport and within transport as required.

• Operate vehicle in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Maintain log books.

• Work in the yard/warehouse during non-travel periods:

• Job prep and maintenance

• Equipment cleaning and washing

• Snow removal and groundskeeping

• Washing equipment

• General organization and upkeep

• Other duties as required within the scope of employment.

What You'll Bring

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License without restriction required.
• Proven experience hauling heavy equipment in a variety of conditions and environments.
• Strong working knowledge of DOT regulations, with a demonstrated commitment to full compliance and safe operating practices.

Preferred Experience (Plusses):

• Heavy haul experience, including oversize or overweight loads
• Working knowledge of the permitting process for interstate and specialized transport, including route and compliance.
• Experience performing or assisting with DOT annual inspections, with a strong understanding of inspection criteria and documentation.

Other:

• Prefer candidate to be local to Spokane, WA area as the role includes periodic assignments at our Spokane facility for equipment preparation, maintenance, and operational support.

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $35.00/Hr. - USD $50.00/Hr. depending on experience and qualifications.
