SUMMARY
Transport and deliver equipment and materials to and from jobsites using gasoline or diesel-powered tractor trailer combinations based on daily instructions.
TYPICAL DAILY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Get driving instructions during daily safety huddles.
- Thoroughly inspect the truck and trailer before each trip assessment safety and maintenance of tires lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water. Deficiencies are immediate reported to the supervisor.
- Load materials and equipment using straps and chains, travel to jobsite, and unload upon arrival - all in a safe and timely manner.
- Operate all equipment for loading, unloading, and transportation in a safe manner.
- Operate and update the Company's ELOG system as directed by State mandates.
- Stay up to date on and comply with all FMCSA laws.
- Always maintain a clean and organized truck and trailer.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- College/technical school certificate or 12 months experience or hauling heavy equipment training
- Valid Class A CDL operator's license with safe driving record
- Knowledge of all truck and heavy equipment operations
- Knowledge of proper tie down methods for safe equipment and materials transportation
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondences, memos, and maps
- Ability to write simple correspondences and complete logs
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using all units of measurement
- Must understand and be committed to jobsite, workplace, and transportation safety standards and process
