Position Summary

Transports materials for road construction and road maintenance projects, operates equipment, snowplowing, sanding and traffic control as needed. Duties include safe driving skills.

What You Will Do

• Operates various heavy equipment such as tandem truck for hauling heavy loads, asphalt and paving equipment, backhoe, power broom, miller box and weed mowers.
• Performs general labor requiring on construction and maintenance projects.
• Performs snowplowing and sanding.
• Performs vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure a safe operating condition.
• Performs traffic control, flagging, and signing for projects.
• Completes tasks in support of road maintenance to include carpentry work, fence installation, jack hammering, painting, erosion and drainage control, tree trimming, grounds maintenance, cattle guard replacements, refuge removal, weed mowing/control.
• Monitors and accounts for materials usage.
• Performs other duties as appropriate or necessary for performance of the job.

What You Have

REQUIRED LICENSE:

• Valid Class A Commercial Colorado Driver's License with tanker and air brake endorsements required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency preferred.
• Minimum of three years of heavy equipment operating experience in the road maintenance/road construction industry preferred.

Special Requirements:

• Must successfully pass background check.
• Must be able to pass post job offer physical screening.
