Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs various manual tasks in the construction & maintenance of overhead power lines to include digging trenches, setting poles, installing wires and transformers, performing routine maintenance checks, and assisting the lineman with their tasks.
• Assemble materials on the ground and hoist them into the work area using handlines.
• Assist other crew members filling pole holes and trench using a shovel.
• Flag traffic and set up job sites as directed.
• Maintain organization of tools and materials on work vehicles.
• Clean up and organize job sites at completion of work.

Job Requirements

• Valid CDL A is preferred but not required. Within 90 days to obtain.
• Must be able to pass drug, alcohol, and background checks.
• Must be able to pass a physical examination.
• Able and willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able and willing to work for extended periods in various locations.
• Able and willing to work in all types of weather environments including inclement weather.
• Able and willing to work overtime when required.
• Understanding of the utility industry and operations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
