Warehouse Associate Driver Class A or B
Who we are:
Established in 1926, Mutual Trading Co., Inc. was originally a small co-op organization for centralized purchasing of basic import foods to service the needs of the early Japanese immigrant society in Southern California. We've grown nearly 100 years old now, and command a premiere position among Japanese foodservice suppliers, as well as fill a key role as "Culinary Ambassador" promoting Japanese foods worldwide. Currently, we import, manufacture, and distribute over 8,000 Japanese foods, beverages, restaurant equipment and supplies.
Hours
: M-F: 8AM - 5PM; 1 hr. lunch; OT may apply

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Completes door to door deliveries by driving company truck on assigned route.
Picks and assembles customer orders as indicated on the pick list.
Maintains and safely navigates the Company vehicle.
Documents, records, and completes driver log when making deliveries.
Coordinates with manager and salespersons to assemble urgent deliveries to customers.
Maintains high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service.
Participate in the weekly warehouse meetings.
Attend semiannual inventory count on designated day, possibly on a weekend.
Provide logistics support for Company events and functions outside of normal working hours.
Other duties as assigned.
Obligation to answer to all management as requested.
Physical Requirements:
Able to drive for a majority of the daily working hours.
Able to work without sitting for extended periods of time, including standing and walking.
Able to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
Able to handle and move up to 165 pounds assisted frequently.
Working Conditions.
Noise Level: Loud while indoors.
Other Requirements:
Conversational level English required; Business level English preferred.
Able to operate forklift and warehouse machinery in compliance with safety guidelines.
Able to work weekends, holidays, afterhours, and 2nd Shift as needed.
Has and maintains a clean driving record.
Maintains a positive attitude.
Works efficiently independently and in a team.
Adapts to frequent changes in assignments and workload.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 1 year of general warehousing experience required.
2+ years of driver, delivery, and/or freezer experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Possesses basic mathematical knowledge such as counting inventory, weight and measurement conversions, combining, etc.
Has strong communications and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates awareness of proper warehouse safety procedures.
Forklift training and/or certification preferred.
Reach Truck certification preferred.
Knowledge of Japanese foods and liquors preferred.
Class B License required.
