About the job CDL-A Flatbed Driver - Regional Steel Freight - Home Weekends

Flatbed drivers near Columbus, GA can apply for a regional position hauling steel pipe and flat steel. Drivers run consistent freight lanes and return home weekends.

Freight & Schedule

  • Drivers in this position haul structural steel products using flatbed trailers. Freight moves through nearby states with steady volume and predictable dispatch.
  • Typical drivers run 2,300-2,800 miles weekly, and about 40-50% of loads require tarping.

Driver Pay
• 27% of load revenue
• Weekly earnings averaging $1,500-$2,000
• $40 tarp pay
• $50 layover pay
• $16 detention pay
• $300 weekly per diem

Equipment
  • Assigned automatic trucks including Cascadia and T680 tractors.
