Job Summary:
This position focuses on delivering equipment and supplies to project sites while maintaining a safe and efficient operation. When not on delivery routes, the role supports warehouse operations, including receiving materials, organizing inventory, and coordinating logistics. Candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent driving record, and the ability to thrive in a physically demanding environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver materials and equipment to designated job sites, ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs.
- Oversee and assist with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
- Operate and maintain a delivery vehicle (up to 24 feet), conducting pre- and post-trip inspections and reporting maintenance issues to warehouse leadership.
- Maintain detailed delivery logs, including items delivered, arrival/departure times, and mileage.
- Coordinate with project managers to schedule daily deliveries and plan future routes.
- Assist in the warehouse with tasks such as receiving shipments, organizing inventory, and tracking stock levels.
- Operate a forklift and tow equipment trailers as needed.
- Provide support on project sites as needed, leveraging experience with HVAC or plumbing systems to assist teams with equipment setup or troubleshooting.
- Adhere to all W.N. Kirkland Mechanical safety standards, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and coordinating with the safety officer for job site visits.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid CDL A License required.
- Minimum age of 25 (per insurance requirements) with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for company vehicle eligibility.
- Forklift operating certificate required.
- Experience towing equipment trailers required.
- Ability to drive a 24-foot delivery vehicle and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Experience with HVAC or plumbing systems preferred, with the ability to assist on projects as needed.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines, follow directions, and maintain attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, punctual, and capable of multitasking with strong follow-up skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Prior experience with construction deliveries is a plus.
