Position Summary
Join a crew that builds the infrastructure communities rely on every day. As an Underground Utility Construction Laborer, you'll work hands-on installing and replacing critical water and sewer systems while supporting a skilled field team. This is an active, outdoor role for individuals who take pride in hard work, value safety, and want to be part of a team that gets the job done right.
What You'll Do
 
Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground water and sewer utilities 
Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites
Install and remove water and sewer mains in accordance with plans and specifications 
Read and interpret construction drawings and instructions to perform work accurately
Drive company vehicles to job sites in compliance with DOT requirements 
Perform traffic control and flagging to maintain safe job site conditions 
Follow all safety procedures and report incidents as required 
Travel to project sites throughout Michigan as needed
Compensation
Compensation is based on the applicable union scale, with opportunities for higher starting pay based on experience.
Minimum Starting Pay: $31.66/hour (includes $2.00/hour CDL Premium) ($27.66/hour base wage + $4.00/hour vacation pay (taxable)

Requirements
What We're Looking For
Valid CDL-A Driver's License
Strong work ethic and team-first mindset 
Reliable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn 
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and in varying weather conditions 
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening, participate in random drug testing, and maintain a satisfactory driving record (MVR)
