Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • 12 montrhs experience driving a tractor trailer in the past 5 years
  • Valid Class A CDL and have a current DOT medical card
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Pass a road test
  • Acceptable driving record per policy
  • Achieve acceptable responses to Previous Employment Verifications
  • Pass a drug, background check, and pre-employment tests
  • Approved by the compliance department on all DOT and Saddle Creek Transportation requirements p
Responsibilities
  • Safely drive a commercial motor vehicle (tractor and trailer)
  • Complete deliveries on schedule and interface with customers effectively
  • Assist in loading and unloading of the vehicle
  • Verify order to ensure correct products loaded
  • Meet all company standards and DOT requirements for vehicles and drivers
  • Followcompany safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same
  • Workcooperatively and productively with supervisors and other associates to complete tasks
  • Provideand inspireoutstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner
  • Perform and document pre and post trip inspections and complete all necessary paperwork
  • All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Maintain all DOT required licenses and documentation
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs.andpush/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Work well independently
  • Adhere to DOT rules and regulations
  • Operate in a constant state of alertness, and safe manner
  • Safely get in and out of the cab on your own
  • Drive both automatic and manual transmissions
