Job Title: CDL Class A Driver

Location: Middletown, PA

Job Type: Full-Time (Direct-Hire)

Position Overview

As a CDL Class A Driver, you will play a crucial role in safely delivering building materials to customer job sites. This includes ground and rooftop deliveries, ensuring that all materials arrive securely and on time. You will be responsible for adhering to safety regulations, maintaining accurate delivery records, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials safely to ground and rooftop locations.

• Maintain a safe work zone at each job site to prevent accidents.

• Follow the assigned delivery schedule and adhere to all job directives.

• Document deliveries using a camera phone system to ensure accuracy.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and conduct load checks to verify secure cargo.

• Work closely with the Delivery Material Handler to determine safe and efficient unloading locations.

• Provide customers with invoices upon delivery and collect payments for COD orders when necessary.

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.

• Assist in warehouse operations, including loading/unloading materials when not making deliveries.

• No over-the-road travel - Home every night!

Qualifications

• Valid CDL - Class A (required).

• Ability to lift and carry 75-100 lbs repeatedly (most common cargo: 70 lb bundles of shingles).

• Comfortable working on rooftops when required.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and participate in random drug testing.

• Preferred but not required:

• Experience with conveyor, flatbed, or drywall boom trucks.

• Experience operating a semi-trailer and tractor.

• Experience with trailer-mounted forklifts.
