The Road & Bridge Fleet Supervisor holds a key leadership role in supporting Clay County's infrastructure operations. This position is responsible for overseeing fleet personnel and coordinating the repair and maintenance of departmental equipment. The Fleet Supervisor manages the fleet staff, addresses safety concerns related to buildings and grounds, and participates in the hiring process through interviews. Additionally, the Fleet Supervisor serves as a point of contact for after-hours emergencies, ensuring prompt and effective response during urgent situations.

Core responsibilities include scheduling maintenance tasks, managing work orders, and overseeing preventive maintenance and repairs for a variety of equipment, such as semi tractors, dump trucks, motor graders, skid steers, loaders, and tractors. As such, hands-on experience in equipment operation and maintenance is essential for this position.

This role requires a minimum of a Class A CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsements, along with the ability to operate vehicles and equipment under both standard and emergency conditions.

The Fleet Supervisor works a four-day week, Monday through Thursday, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and will be on-call for emergency responses and severe weather events.

The hourly salary, DOE, starts at $29.73 - $30.93. Along with a competitive salary, the County offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
