Full Description
Shipping Lead
The Shipping Lead is a non-exempt operator that, in addition to being a member of their specific department team, is responsible for assuring; efficient and appropriate utilization of resources, compliance with legal / regulatory requirements and adherence to Vestas' quality and safety standards. The Lead Operator coordinates the allocation of employees and materials / equipment to optimize output while adhering to the organization's policies and applicable laws. Time will be split between operating equipment and managing processes.
Responsibilities:
Education, Training, and Skills Required:
High school or GED required; on-the-job/other related experience equivalent preferable.
Essential skills: Heavy Equipment/Crane Operation, Rigging, Tiller-man duties.
3-5 years on-the-job /other related experience/ training or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
Must be certified in Class 1-7 (equipment specific to department) or be able to get certified in 30 days.
Prefer Certification in any of the following:
Rigger level 1
Heavy Equipment Operations
Mobile Crane
Welding AWS D 1.1
CDL Class-A
Rail/truck transport general knowledge
Computer skills: Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP systems, SAP
Basic math
Valid Driver's License

Hours: 5:45AM - 6:15PM
Pay range: $31+ per hour
