Class A Environmental Commercial Operator
Looking for more than just a driving job? At GEIR, your CDL is the foundation of a rewarding career in environmental services. As a Class A Environmental Commercial Operator, you'll spend approximately 80% of your time assisting with environmental services and 20% operating a CDL vehicle, including emergency response, industrial cleaning, waste transportation, and site remediation.
What You'll Do
Safely operate vacuum trucks, roll-off trucks, tractor-trailers, tankers, and dump trucks
Support environmental response and industrial service projects
Conduct vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
Comply with DOT regulations and company safety policies
Represent GEIR professionally while working with customers and project teams
Work Schedule & Highlights
Primarily local routes with occasional overnight travel
Weekly overtime opportunities
24/7 on-call rotation and occasional weekend work required
Shifts may exceed eight hours based on project demands and emergency response needs
Paid training and opportunities for career advancement
Required Qualifications
Valid Class A CDL
Tanker and HazMat endorsements
Minimum two years of commercial driving experience
Clean driving record for the past three years
Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications
Environmental services or industrial field experience
Hazardous waste handling experience
Heavy equipment operation
OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification (or willingness to obtain)
Emergency response or industrial cleaning experience
