Wurth Baer Supply Company, one of the nation's premier distributors to the woodworking industry, is seeking a reliable and responsible CDL-A Truck Driver to support our Rumford, RI facility and product delivery operations.

-Direct Hire:
  • No agencies or third parties
  • This is a permanent and full-time job
  • You will be a company employer (no contractors)

-Location:
  • Würth Baer Supply Company - 70 Pawtucket Avenue. Rumford RI 02916-2448

-Compensation:
  • $26.00/HR starting pay (non-negotiable)
  • $2000 Performance Bonus
    • Drivers in good standing with the company will receive $1,000 after 90 days of employment and another $1,000 after 180 days of employment.
    • Safety, attendance, attitude, and consistent on-time arrivals to work each day are all calculated into the decision of being considered in good standing with the company

-Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm ET or until completion of daily route
  • Variances occur in end time based on weather, traffic, and overall workload
  • 4 to 10 stops per day within a 100-mile radius of our facility in Rumford, RI

-Manual Transmissions:
  • Must be able to drive 10-speed manual transmissions. No automatic restrictions permitted.

-Hand Loading and Unloading as Needed:
  • Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs and unloading by hand as needed.
  • Sit-down propane forklifts will be utilized at the facility to load the truck

-Truck Type:
  • 28-foot curtain side truck (Conestoga style - flatbed with a soft-shell box)
  • Most of the fleet is automatic, but due to occasionally needing to use our manual truck, we require proficiency on 10-speed manual transmissions well.

Qualifications:
  • Valid CDL Class A
  • 2+ years of experience driving 10-speed manual transmissions
  • Must be certified to use AIR BRAKES
  • A clean driving record for the past three years in all states where licensed
  • Must be registered with the DOT Clearinghouse
  • Valid DOT Medical Certificate
  • Pass a pre-employment screening for DOT controlled substances, in compliance with 49 CFR 40 and 49 CFR 382.
  • Previous warehousing experience preferred - proficient using a pallet jack
  • Must be comfortable performing hand unloads, lifting 70lbs unassisted, and helping customers receive their goods as needed - materials such as drawer slides, hinges, paints, stains, adhesives, sandpaper, laminate sheet products, and hand/power tools
  • Good problem-solving skills

-2025 Hourly Employees Benefits Summary:
  • 2 weeks of paid vacation which goes up to 5 weeks with seniority.
