We are hiring Part-Time CDL Class A Drivers to support mail transportation operation in Shreveport, Louisiana. This is a great opportunity for experienced drivers looking for consistent work with a respected transportation company. Positions are temp-to-perm, and travel drivers are welcome while permanent positions are being filled.

<h3>Position Details</h3>

<ul>
	<li>Pay: $27.89/hour
	<li>Health & Welfare: Additional $5.55/hour for the first 40 hours worked each week
	<li>Employment Type: Part-Time, Temp-to-Perm
	<li>Drivers Needed: 3
	<li>Schedule: Sunday through Saturday (drivers typically work 5–6 days per week)
	<li>Dispatch Times: Between 4:00 PM and 2:00 AM depending on route
	<li>Average Shift: 8–10 hours
	<li>Layovers: None – Home Daily
</ul>

<h3>Job Responsibilities</h3>

<ul>
	<li>Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer transporting between facilities.
	<li>Complete scheduled, time-sensitive delivery routes.
	<li>Roll mail carts and mail containers on and off trailers.
	<li>Secure mail carts using straps and other required equipment.
	<li>Back into loading docks at postal facilities.
	<li>Operate liftgates when required.
	<li>Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate delivery records.
	<li>Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
	<li>Follow all DOT safety procedures.

<h3>Qualifications</h3>

<ul>
	<li>Valid Class A CDL
	<li>Minimum 9 months of recent CDL driving experience
	<li>Ability to perform touch freight, including moving rolling mail carts
	<li>Comfortable with multi-stop routes and backing into docks
	<li>Strong attention to detail and reliability for time-sensitive deliveries
	<li>Must successfully pass a background check
	<li>No felony convictions
	<li>Ability to meet Ryder hiring standards, including DOT drug screening and background requirements
