Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
 
 
12 montrhs experience driving a tractor trailer in the past 5 years
 
Valid Class A CDL and a current DOT medical card (minimum 1 year medical card issued required)
 
21 years of age or older
 
Pass a road test
 
Acceptable driving record per policy
 
Achieve acceptable responses to Previous Employment Verifications
 
Pass a drug, background check, and pre-employment tests
 
Approved by the compliance department on all DOT and Saddle Creek Transportation requirements p
 
 
Responsibilities
 
 
Safely drive a commercial motor vehicle (tractor and trailer)
 
Complete deliveries on schedule and interface with customers effectively
 
Assist in loading and unloading of the vehicle
 
Verify order to ensure correct products loaded
 
Meet all company standards and DOT requirements for vehicles and drivers
 
Followcompany safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same
 
Workcooperatively and productively with supervisors and other associates to complete tasks
 
Provideand inspireoutstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner
 
Perform and document pre and post trip inspections and complete all necessary paperwork
 
All other duties as assigned
 
 
Knowledge, skills and abilities
 
 
Working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
 
Deliver excellent customer service
 
Maintain all DOT required licenses and documentation
 
Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs.andpush/pull up to 50 lbs.
 
Work well independently
 
Adhere to DOT rules and regulations
 
Operate in a constant state of alertness, and safe manner
 
Safely get in and out of the cab on your own
 
Drive both automatic and manual transmissions
