Position Summary
As a CDL Class A Driver, you will safely operate a commercial motor vehicle on a dedicated daily out-of-state route between company locations. You'll be responsible for the safe, timely, and damage-free transportation of materials while maintaining DOT, FMCSA, and company safety standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver who wants the stability of a regular route and steady work while being able to finish the route and come home every day.
Primary Responsibilities
Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer between company locations on a dedicated route.
Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Transport materials safely, securely, and without damage.
Maintain accurate ELD logs, trip records, and required documentation.
Follow Hours of Service requirements and all applicable DOT/FMCSA regulations.
Ensure load is secure before departing on route.
Communicate with facility teams and leadership regarding delays, safety concerns, or route issues.
Promptly report vehicle maintenance needs.
Follow company safety standards and defensive driving practices.
Represent the company professionally and responsibly on the road and at each location.
Experience & Skills Required
Valid CDL Class A with an acceptable driving record.
Current DOT Medical Card.
Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience.
Tractor-trailer driving experience.
Ability to meet DOT/FMCSA requirements and drug and alcohol testing requirements.
Familiarity with ELD systems and electronic trip reporting.
Strong commitment to safe driving and attention to detail.
Dependable, punctual, and able to consistently work the required schedule.
Experience with manufacturing, distribution, or inter-facility transportation is preferred.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
Ability to safely enter and exit a tractor cab.
Ability to perform vehicle and load inspections.
Regular driving in varying traffic, road, and weather conditions.
