About the Position

This is a flex opportunity for a Local CDL A Driver in Houston, Texas, offering $28 per hour. The role involves delivering office supplies, cleaning supplies, and office furniture to various customers, including Office Depot, Walmart, Staples, and Amazon. The position requires a customer-facing attitude and the ability to take initiative.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $28 per hour
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Start Time: Between 5 PM and 6 PM
• Total Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week

Job Details

• Route Type: Local
• Freight: Touch Freight / Unload
• Equipment: Penske leased trucks (automatic), Omni Tracs ELD system
• Handling: Manual pallet jack (heaviest pallet up to 1200 lbs.)
• Stops: Vary from 3 to 8 nightly
• Professional attire required: boots/sneakers (NO flip flops)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver office supplies, cleaning supplies, and office furniture
• Unload freight using a manual pallet jack
• Maintain dependability and punctuality
• Interact with customers during deliveries
• Follow safety and operational guidelines

Minimum Requirements

• 1+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL A driving experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
