WHAT THIS ROLE WILL BE DOING:

• Use of hand held computer to receive incoming and outgoing freight
• Picking product for Customer Orders and staging for loading
• Loading orders on semi-trucks
• Unloading stock onto racking
• Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition to ensure truck is safe
• Check Load and secure to D.O.T. Regulations. Make sure the load is safe and legal before moving
• Drive truck safely and legally to customer locations and return
• Open curtains, unstrap product, count and check product for damage and shortages
• Assist receivers in unloading and loading the truck
• Maintains driver logs and inspection reports according to D.O.T. regulations
• Maintain a professional image at all times
• Must be able to be forklift certified to aid in loading, unloading, and general warehouse work
• Must be able to work flexible schedule

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Good to Exceptional Mathematic skills are essential
• Reading / Comprehension essential
• Punctual, Self-Motivated and Reliable
• Exceptional Customer Service Skills
• Exceptional Organizational Skills
• Must possess a Class A CDL with air brake endorsement
• Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Physical
• Must pass a DOT Pre-employment drug test
• Must be able to be forklift certified

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Must be able to able to hand lift 100 pounds occasionally, 70 pounds repetitively
• Products of 100 or more are lifted with forklift
• Able to obtain a D.O.T. medical card.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• A Warehouse Material Handler will be exposed to all weather conditions
• Flexibility with hours and schedules is necessary due to work days of 10-13 hours during our peak season
