Your Responsibilities:

• Provide over-the-road training for new CDL-A drivers with less than six months of experience.
• Share a truck with the trainee throughout the training period.
• Offer refresher training for experienced drivers and remedial training for those on development plans.

Instruction Includes:

• HOS compliance and regulations
• Load securement and trip planning
• In-cab computer and company-specific apps
• Defensive driving and safe backing
• Customer procedures and professional service skills
• DOT inspection and post-accident procedures
• Safe fueling and inclement weather operations
• Coupling/uncoupling trailers
• Document scanning and company policies

Supervisory Duties:

• Provide complete, accurate, and timely documentation of student performance.
• Conduct weekly evaluations and report progress to the Training Department.
• Establish truck rules and expectations.
• Perform corrective coaching when needed.

What You Need:

• 5 years of verifiable, accident-free Class A CMV experience in interstate commerce.
• Previous in-cab training experience preferred.
• Completion of a two-day ICI certification class.
• Commitment to continuous training via online and in-person events.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Windows, MS Office, and Teams.
• Professionalism and motivation to inspire students.
