CDL Class A Driver - Citrus Fruit Hauling
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our Logistics team. The driver will transport and deliver citrus goods or materials. Assists with loading and unloading of bins if necessary. Maintains government required e-logs. Possesses knowledge of weight laws, safety regulations, and other federal regulations. Holds a valid CDL Class A license and has a minimum of five years over-the-road and/or intrastate experience. Check quantities of goods received and obtain proper signature for deliveries. Determine own routing or follow prescribed schedule.

WORK HOURS & ENVIRONMENT
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40+ hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

JOB FUNCTIONS
- Make deliveries and pick-ups of citrus trailers to and from the packinghouse to groves, utilizing a flatbed and/or straight truck equipment.
- Check or assist in the loading or unloading of trucks.
- Operates under specific detailed instructions; refers to any changes in schedule or problems to supervisor or Receiving Supervisor.
- Check quantities of goods delivered and received and obtain proper signature for deliveries.
- Customer service, clarifying any customer complaints.
- All other driver duties assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Valid CDL Class A driver's license and current Medical Examination Certificate. Must be able to be approved by our Insurance Carrier.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Minimum of five or more years of applied experience in over-the-road experience.
- Successful background in truck driving and deliveries.
- Organizational and planning skills. Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to work effectively under time constraints and exercise good judgment under pressure.
- Good logic and analytical skills.
- Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of teams and customers.
- Ability to read, write and follow directions.
- Ability to verbally communicate details and directions and adhere to all safety regulations.
