CDL A Truck Driver - Dover, DE (19902)
Weekly Pay: $1,250-$1,450 | Home Time: Weekly with 3 weekends home per month
Operating Area: Dover, DE (19902)
Midwest regional dry van freight | Mostly drop & hook | Consistent miles
Not every regional job runs the same way. Some schedules change every week, while others are built to stay consistent. This Heartland fleet through CK Transportation runs Midwest regional lanes with steady miles, familiar routes, and planned time off that stays predictable.
The Fleet
Drivers operate 2016 or newer Freightliner, International, and Kenworth tractors with 10-speed transmissions, inverters, and idle management systems. Trucks are assigned to keep the week running smoothly, and drivers with safe parking may qualify for take-home equipment.
What This Position Includes
• Average 2,100 miles per week on Midwest regional lanes
• Mostly drop-and-hook freight with limited live load
• Guaranteed minimum pay during slower weeks
• Weekly reset plus three weekends home per month
• Full benefits package with 401(k) and paid time off
Route Details
This fleet runs organized regional freight with dispatch planning routes to keep transitions efficient and protect driving hours. Lanes stay consistent, so drivers are not learning new territory every week, and the schedule stays stable instead of changing constantly.
Home Time Schedule
Drivers receive at least a 34-hour reset each week, along with three weekends home per month and an additional mid-week break built into the rotation. The goal is steady miles without losing dependable time at home.
Pay and Benefits
Drivers average $1,250-$1,450 weekly based on mileage and performance, with a guaranteed minimum pay program available when freight slows. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid holidays, vacation time, 401(k) with company match, and optional per diem. Safety incentives may add to weekly earnings.
Requirements
Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL.
Must have 6 months recent experience or 1 year within the past 3 years.
Experience must be on equipment 48 feet or longer.
