Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- 12 montrhs experience driving a tractor trailer in the past 5 years
- Valid Class A CDL and have a current DOT medical card
- 21 years of age or older
- Pass a road test
- Acceptable driving record per policy
- Achieve acceptable responses to Previous Employment Verifications
- Pass a drug, background check, and pre-employment tests
- Approved by the compliance department on all DOT and Saddle Creek Transportation requirements p
- Safely drive a commercial motor vehicle (tractor and trailer)
- Complete deliveries on schedule and interface with customers effectively
- Assist in loading and unloading of the vehicle
- Verify order to ensure correct products loaded
- Meet all company standards and DOT requirements for vehicles and drivers
- Followcompany safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same
- Workcooperatively and productively with supervisors and other associates to complete tasks
- Provideand inspireoutstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner
- Perform and document pre and post trip inspections and complete all necessary paperwork
- All other duties as assigned
- Working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Maintain all DOT required licenses and documentation
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs.andpush/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Work well independently
- Adhere to DOT rules and regulations
- Operate in a constant state of alertness, and safe manner
- Safely get in and out of the cab on your own
- Drive both automatic and manual transmissions
