MORE ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY - Crane Sales and Service is looking for a qualified crane mechanic to service the needs of our current customers in western South Dakota and to increase our presence in that market. CSS is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with great communication skills. This individual will be based in Rapid City or the surrounding area and will be dispatched to the field daily, while working directly with support staff in Sioux Falls.

Qualifications:

• Basic tools required
• Minimum 2 years of mobile crane mechanic experience required
• Knowledge of CANBUS and hydraulic systems preferred
• Class A CDL preferred
• Factory training certificates highly advantageous
• Diesel engine experience advantageous
• Heavy Industry general experience preferred

Essential Duties of this Opportunity:

• Responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, booms, electrical systems (including troubleshooting onboard computer systems), hydraulic systems (booms, outriggers, pumps), brakes and other basic components
• Will work on hydraulic and conventional cranes, forklifts, tractor trailers and miscellaneous equipment
• Must work well and communicate effectively with operators and other site personnel
• Must also be able to work alone or with limited assistance
• Creative thinking skills to make continuous improvements
• Reports to Service Manager
• Standard Hours: Day shift 7am to 3:30pm.
• Position will be based out based in Rapid City, SD.

• Overtime available as needed (anything over 8 hours each day)
