Primary Duties

  • Operate and drive a Class A commercial motor vehicle in compliance with all FMCSA and DOT
    regulations.
  • Safely load, transport, and unload goods according to delivery schedules.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, hours of service.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
  • Adhere to GEODIS policies and procedures, including safety protocols and reporting
    requirements.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all delivery points.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or delays promptly to the appropriate parties.

Other Duties

  • As required and assigned
  • Supports GEODIS' programs for Safety, Health, Environment, Quality, Ethics, Compliance, CSR
    and Sustainability

Minimum Requirements

  • 49 CFR 391
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL Driver.
  • Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Must have successfully completed a driver's road test and have been issued a certificate of driver's road test or possess a valid commercial driver's license.
  • Must not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle.
  • Must have a valid operator's license for the type of vehicle which they are assigned to drive.
  • Must be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with 49 CFR Part
    391.41
