SUMMARY
Under direct supervision this position is primarily responsible for electrical work for the Utilities Department but may assist others as assigned. Position must be available to work extended hours, callbacks, evenings, weekends, holidays and during inclement weather. Position is considered essential personnel.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and maintain a valid Texas Driver's License for all positions. A Texas CDL is preferred. Experience in an electrical trade and/or industrial maintenance with a Master Electrician License. Class ladder adjustments will require above average scoring on performance appraisals.
Requires a State of Texas Master Electrician License. The ability to install, maintain and/or extend electrical wiring systems and/or appurtenances, apparatus with connection to electrical energy. National electrical code awareness and training. Understanding of City of Amarillo lock Out Tag Out policy and Electrical code procedures.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
There may be exposure to extreme weather conditions, chemical substances, noise, physical hazards, vibrations, confined spaces, respiratory hazards, and extreme heights. Attendance is an essential function of this position and in the event of an emergency or during inclement weather this position will be required to work to perform essential services. This position is required to work overtime. Will be required to work in environments where raw sewage is present.
