DESCRIPTION
Piala's Nursery & Garden Shop, Inc. is seeking part-time and full-time seasonal Delivery Drivers. These seasonal positions run the duration of our operating season, which is typically from mid-March through mid-December (when the weather turns inclement), and offer 40 hours per week. Flexible schedules are available for part-time and full-time opportunities. Weekend hours and overtime are available, but not required. YOU WILL BE HOME EVERY NIGHT!
Although these positions are currently seasonal, there is additional part-time, year-round work with the potential of full-time, year-round work available for the right candidate. In order to qualify for full-time, year-round work, candidates must be able to safely operate all company equipment & trucks, be mechanically inclined, and willing and able to obtain a Pesticide Applicator License (3.0).
We offer a consistent work schedule with paid overtime, the possibility of year-round employment, the possibility of a benefit package (for full-time, year-round) and the potential for performance-based bonuses. Compensation package is based on experience. NO WINTER PLOWING.
The ideal candidate is an upbeat, highly motivated self-starter with a Class A CDL. Candidates must have a good driving record and employment history with verifiable references. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are preferred, but English-only or Spanish-only skills are acceptable.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver materials and plants to jobsites and customers located primarily within the southeast Wisconsin area
- Loading and off-loading materials, as well as operating heavy landscape equipment (including skid loader, mini excavator, and small engine equipment)
- Safely load trees and bulk materials, and insure they are properly tarped and tied down
- Track material and labor use on a daily basis
- Perform daily equipment maintenance (check fluids, clean air filters, etc.)
- Safely operate equipment (skid loader, mini-excavator, small engine equipment, trucks, trailers, etc)
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Class A CDL, WITHOUT Manual Transmission Restriction - must be licensed and able to drive manuals
- Good driving record
- Employment history with verifiable references
- A positive attitude
- Ability to operate a tractor and/or skid loader to complete job duties; Must have experience operating skid loaders or be able and willing to learn
- Physical condition that allows you to meet the demands of daily tasks, including the ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance
- Ability to communicate with clients and employees in a professional and concise manner
